While I feel the idea of the ghost race was a potentially fun one I felt our crew missed out on the greatest part of that fun when we were assigned a NPC character to battle. Don’t get me wrong, I loved getting to interact with the Corpse King. I felt that thread was hilarious and I was squealing about it on plurk like a little school girl while it was going on, but our ship missed out on the chance to gain some much needed cross-ship CR during that event and that seems like it was the whole point of the event in the first place.

So maybe keep that in mind for next year and, if an odd number of ships join, find a way to include the extra ship in another way? Even if they are randomly assigned to team up with a second ship and split the prize I think that would work out better.
