Penpals: A little idea
Hello, everyone!!
This may not be the best moment for it, but I would like to poke a bit to see if there would be interest in a little idea I had the past month when I apped Elizabeth.
It's a little project based on the idea of penpals. ICly Elizabeth would come up with the idea as means to encourage the relationships between members of different crews. Basically she would be assigning people a person to whom they should write letters through the journals (those can be private or public) and thus establish the base for a future friendship, alliance, whatever is needed that requires people to know each other. And to make the days out at sea less boring by having someone to talk or write to.
Of course this is voluntary, you would have to sign your character OOCly for it, ICly we can handwave the sign ups, assume someone signed your character up in case they wouldn't do it, but you want them in or assume that Elizabeth decided to add their name to the list for whatever reason. The letters can be handwaved, but I think it would be a good excuse for some characters to use the journal and make a post for those who have characters who are less prone to use it to start something themselves.
The penpals would be selected randomly, since this is to encourage relationships with other crews I would try to make sure that everyone is writing at least to someone in another crew, if possible someone who isn't a castmate. And if enough people join and this works I would rotate the pairings after a few months, taking in new additions and drops so there's always new CR going on.
If anyone has any suggestions for this idea I'm open to listen to them! Also if you would like to sign up your character you can start stating so here. If there's interest I will make a new post once the newbies are in and make the final list to start this up.

This sounds fun and as Elissa has already made good friends this way, she'd be happy to do it again. Sign her up!
