Then there's Horatio Hornblower. He's a lieutenant in the Royal British Navy from 1803. He used to be a commander -- field promotion -- but the promotion wasn't confirmed.

Hello, everyone! My name is Dragon, and I am filling the glaring lack of wise ancient mentor ponies with Princess Celestia, here. For those of you unfamiliar with the show, she's the ruler of the land of ponies, responsible for raising the sun, and basically as close as the series gets to a goddess. Basically one of the last ponies, or people, you would make a pirate!

This is gsai with a second character, another from Touhou Project named Soga no Tojiko. If you've studied ancient Japanese history at all, specifically the Asuka Period, that name should be ringing bells. She's basically the ghost of Toziko no Iratsume, the wife of Prince Shotoku. And while some things changed around in ZUN's adaption of the tale for the purposes of his series, her historical role is largely unchanged.

... Except for that whole Taoism thing and being a ghost, that is.

Anyways, expect her to long, loudly, for her prince and complain a lot and make fun of Futo. And occasionally zap people with lightning when she's mad, idk.

Here's Kaoru Hitachiin from everyone's favorite manga about dumb rich boys, Ouran High School Host Club. Kaoru is pulled from well into the manga (around chapter 55), but I will do my best not to spoil things for anyone!

Um, hello. My name is Lisa and for all you lovely people I bring in two lovely ladies Sort of.

First one is Kairi here from Kingdom Hearts. She is a princess of heart who knows a certain two boys as they lived on the same island for around ten years. Then stuff happened. Overall she's a kind hearted girl who can be a tiny bit reckless and make rash choices if her friends are in trouble.

The other I bring if Musa from Winx Club who was originally owned by 4kids, then ended up owned by Nick and now is into it's 6th season. This girl has issues which slowly over time she's over come more than once (Mostly mother and boyfriend issues...Her boyfriend can be a jerk sometimes, okay?). She will be a little bit more sassy/sarcastic than Kairi here, but at least on a ship she'll be being the music...by that I mean you'll probably be singing often.

Hello, High Seas! I'm Lauren, and I'm bringing Korra from the end of Book 2, episode 2 in Legend of Korra and a slightly lesser-known Link from The Legend of Zelda. He actually lived before all of the other Links and fought alongside the goddess Hylia herself! His journal is at forhylia.

I'll be plastering this all over Korra's journal as well, but if you want me to avoid any sorts of spoilers, just let me know. I'll likely canonbump her once Book 2 has been available in its completion for two or so weeks.

Mike here, Sir Crocodile's player. I'm just bringing in one of my favorite obscure manga characters of all time.

It's your favorite friendly neighborhood lycanthrope, Akira Inugami! He's from the fabulous long-running nove-series-turned-manga, "Wolf Guy". Possibly the most self-explanatory title ever. He's like any other high school kid, with added on werewolf problems.

Think Teen Wolf...with gangsters and school punks. Oh, and he's about the only were left. So that sucks.

He'll try not to troll people too hard.

Bennu here bringing in my second character! This handsome devil is Motochika Chōsokabe from Sengoku Basara, not to be confused with the other character we have already with the, um, exact same name. That Motochika is from Samurai Warriors, a franchise with a friendly, cordial relationship with Japanese history. They may not always see eye to eye, but they have things in common. My Motochika is from Sengoku Basara, a series that throws history out the window, shoots it with a cannon coming out of the mouth of a giant wooden spider robot, rides down the wall on a motorcycle horse, and then bludgeons history's remains with evil handpuppets.

And that's why Motochika is a pirate. Who builds the aforementioned giant wooden robots. Because apparently that's what pirates do.

Hello, High Seas!

I'm Cherry, and I'll be bringing in one Asbel Lhant from the video game Tales of Graces f. The catch here, of course, is that he's being taken from the childhood portion of the game instead of the main arc.

For the uninitiated, Asbel's the 11-year-old son of a feudal lord who has a wimpy little genius brother and frequently drags his pals into all kinds of trouble. When he's not being grounded, he dreams of zooming off to the capital to become a knight rather than bothering with this whole lordship business. Along the way he plays child guardian to a weird girl with amnesia and rescues some dumb prince; together the three deface a tree and pledge to be best friends forever. Then the plot catches up with them and, after punching you in the gut, it's seven years later. But we won't deal with any of that just yet.

Hey guys! This is kinz bringing in a second character, Harry Potter from Lord of the Rings. no, I'm sorry If you don't know what book he's from consider me impressed. Anyway! He's from the very beginning of book five right before his hearing so he might be a little stressed at first.

Harry Potter is a very popular thing and referenced in several mediums so I'm going to say here and now that I am totally cool with fourth walling Harry. He'll just be a BIT confused.

She's an ex-pop idol who at her canon point - after about a year of messing around with Jungian monstrosities in a fog-filled netherworld inside television sets - is trying to get back into her business.

Or was, anyway. Now I guess it's time for her to learn to sail and go rescue her not-boyfriend from a shipload of demonic ladies (there is no way this will end badly), find the gem thingy, and go home. It's sad that this isn't even the weirdest thing to happen to her this week...

Hi! My name is Nica, and I'm brand new here. I'm bringing in Mononobe no Futo (Futo) from the doujin bullet hell game series Touhou Project.

She's a shikaisen, or an immortal hermit that gained immortality by cheating death. She's from the Asuka period of Japan, around 600AD and isn't the best at modernizing. Though she has tried and come quite a long way.

She specializes in Feng Shui, Taoist magic, and Shinto magic. (She's more or less like an onmyoudo.)

Hi there! I'm Tracy and I'm new, hoping I won't fail at this game. I'll be bringing along Hylia from the Legend of Zelda. She's from thousands of years before the whole Skyloft thing happens, obviously, so bamf goddess who is less bamf than in the Land of Hylia. Still pretty great though.

I'll put up a permissions post tomorrow sometime, once I can brain things, since she's still pretty dang powerful even here. She'll also be bringing along the Goddess Master Sword and a miniaturized version of her Loftwing, who is going to be a nasty little shit because he's tiny now. Basically though, the sword can only be used by Hylia because it was made by Gods for their use alone. It'll be fun, I promise.

She's a noble young lady right from the England of the Victorian Empire. Daughter of a Marquis and engaged for years to Earl Phantomhive. She comes from the manga, which is important to notice given how by now the anime is by now virtually an AU of the manga, for example in the anime Lizzie is a lone child, in the manga she has an older brother.
