[If so, what is the culture like here?]: The island was once inhabited by a race of people obsessed with the idea of true love, but is mysteriously abandoned now.
[Island peculiarities]: This island is in in the shape of a heart, and was once the world's largest export of chocolate and truffles. Yet after a massive storm, all of the inhabitants disappeared, and almost none who have entered the island have returned alive. Now, as if the curse has been furthered, this island only can be reached easily on Valentine's Day, as raging storms make approaching the island on any other day of the year extremely difficult. However, there is a special 'love rock' you can find, and if everyone on your crew kisses it and it is then tossed into the bay, the storms will momentarily part to allow your ship passage through.
Those that have ventured to this island are rumored to have been covered in strange welts, and lost their sanity, gibbering about bulging eyes, and unspeakable horrors. The reason for this? This monster is the only inhabitant left on the island. This monster is known as the Kissy Faced Eyesore, a monster of unspeakable horror with only one goal. As their name implies, these monsters will try to kiss any individual that they can get close enough to, almost sucking the face off of their victims. Merely one of these monsters can be dangerous, but what is truly terrorizing about these monsters is that they travel in droves of hundreds.
If one is buried under a wave of kisses from these suckers, they could very well be torn apart by kisses, a rather demoralizing fate. Yet buried deep in an ancient temple is a fountain, the fountain of true love. It is said that any who drink from the waters of this fountain will fall in love with the first person the lay eyes upon.
