Riddle me this, riddle me that, Meep loves trivia and wordplay, and if your character is good at it, this is the perfect opportunity for them and your crew to possibly obtain a shard! Each crew may have up to two representatives, and on the 30th, everyone signed up will be able to port to a certain school room on a certain island where they will meet the Meep.

They will then be given a riddle about one of the islands, people, or other aspects of High Seas, both the mythos and the world. Answer it right and move on to the next round! Answer it wrong and, sorry, Charlie, this is a one strike rule. The ultimate winner of this contest will get a shard, but the runner up will get something as well.



FAQ

What is the set up going to be like?
A post will be made with your character’s names and a riddle underneath.

Do I have to answer right away?
Not right away, no, but please do so within two days. I can give some leeway, of course, but for the sake of getting this thing done in a reasonable amount of time, waiting much longer than that will have your character disqualified.

Can my character ask for outside help?
Though your characters will have their journals for the duration (two in-game days), they will have the ability to ask for outside help, but doing so will get them disqualified. They may, however, and without penalty, consult with their teammates.

Can I ask for outside help?
Sure thing if you want to! But keep in mind it’s supposed to be fun for everyone.

Where is this certain island? Will my character be able to explore outside the room?
Yes, actually. Your character will find themselves in a Spanish style villa they are welcome to explore, or just hang out in their down time and be catered to by the staff. Leaving the villa and exploring the surrounding island is forbidden and will get your character disqualified.

Can my character sneak out and explore anyway?
They can, though they won’t get very far before being stopped by some rather annoyed looking guards who have no compunction in knocking your character out with a psychic blast and sending them back to the ship.

What if the Nav has already been used? Will porting to this island count as a Nav use?
Since this is a special occasion, the Nav will be unaffected.

Belmont here. I really should have made a note about taking off but I've been quite preoccupied the past two/three weeks with moving into a house. Sorry about dropping off the world like that! But I am all situated in the new establishment so I'll be tagging more often!
