Ok so I am biting the bullet and doing something I probably should have done about a week ago, and calling a hiatus for myself and Jean here. Basically moving into a new house as first time owners and... yeah. It really is as hectic and stressful as they say.

If anyone wants to plot for once I regain my sanity, I'm up for it! After this weekend things should start getting back to normal, but I may not have DSL right away either so to be safe I'm going to say hiatus until the 20th. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience this causes or has caused, and I can't wait to get back into the swing of things here!

Anyone in the crew is welcome to try their hand at the time, but we'll only be accepting one time per crew.

Please email the time to highseasmods@gmail.com. Put the crew/ship name in the subject header and then a screenshot of the time itself in the body of the message.

All times are due by 11:59pm EST on Saturday. Winners will be announced sometime on Sunday.

Maze times work on a weekly basis. In other words, the winners of the mazes submitted on the 12th will receive the first token. After winners are announced on the Sunday of the 13th, the competition will begin for the second token.

Hi. I'm Sarah. I am bringing you this clumsy but well-meaning and extremely stubborn little darling. Both she and I are VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS. I am not the same Anna-player you've already had, so, IDK what all that Anna got up to, if your characters met her then I'm sorry to say ANNA NO LONGER REMEMBERS YOU. :c

She's taken post-movie so she's under the impression that her sister is still taking care of things back in Arendelle. Get ready for sister feels when she runs into post-Let-It-Go Elsa. Basically she's just here for adventure at the moment, she has no goals other than YEAH LET'S DO THIS THING I'M SO READY. (Well and also to get back home to her sister, but adventure should definitely happen along the way.)

Also making friends. Also she'll take on the entire ocean single-handedly if she thinks she has to so PLEASE DO NOT LET HER, that would end badly. Some crew needs to come collect her before she does something reckless, tbqh. (Please. I am begging you.) Preference for The Straw Hat Pirates since from Dear-Mun experience I think she'll get along well with Luffy and everyone else and also SISTER.

I'll be bringing in Jon Snow this time, along with his direwolf companion, Ghost, from the series A Song of Ice and Fire (Or better know as Game of Thrones for people who watch the show)! Taking him from the end of the the 1st book/1st season so he's going to be pretty annoyed and confused and broody, but he knows nothing so it's okay.

So, at first I left on a holiday trip without computer access, which would be enough to call a hiatus by itself... And then I ended up in a hospital with a concussion. Yeah. I'm not a great fan of phone tagging, so it's safe to assume Rags and I won't be around too much until around 22nd, if all goes smoothly. ♦ ALL CHARACTERS IN THE GAME SHOULD HAVE A TAG! Please use these anytime you create or comment on a post in piratejournal and high_seas! This will make it much easier for YOU if you ever want to go back and find a post your character tagged into! If you've commented on the Taken Page, then you should have or will soon be getting a tag. If we somehow missed you, let a mod know and we'll create one ASAP.

♦ As you form crews or join the ones that already exist, please be sure to let us know over on the Ship Registry / Crews page! Also, we suggest making plurk cliques with your crew members, or maybe even setting up a separate DW community for your crew. It makes it easy to keep in touch with everyone on board your ship and gives you a convenient place to plot, etc!

♦ We also have the Crew Locations post. Be sure to keep it updated!

♦ Joining a crew is not optional. Whether you start your own, hop on someone else's ship, or even set sail by yourself, your character should eventually end up sailing the seas. Port Chance is not there for them to set up a permanent residence! Get yourself on a boat!

♦ You can use the Island Registry to determine where you would like to sail to and have ADVENTURES. Feel free to visit any of the islands already listed there, or create one of your own! We've reorganized the page and also added a new section for Cloud Islands, which can only be accessed during certain months of the year, so be sure to check it out!

Current and upcoming shenanigans in game:

♦ INTRO LOG FOR ANYONE WHO WISHES TO PARTICIPATE! Characters both new and old are welcome. Feel free to bump into other people here as your characters are trying to figure out what's going on! Note that this month, the log takes place at Port Chance because that's where new characters showed up!

♦ The Great Ghost Race has started! This is a month-long event that will be running throughout the entirety of July. The start of the race happened back on July 5th if you want to check it out! We also posted this week's Weather and Phenomena, and this is a reminder about your maze times which are due by the end of the day on Saturday. We will continue to have updates about the race throughout the month!
