January 21st-25th

The crews now know where Hawtrey is and what he's trying to do. It's up to all of you to stop him and prevent Davy Jones from being revived.

But you have options about how to proceed! Which is the purpose of this post. You will be provided with choices and time to discuss.

We encourage you to keep the focus of the discussion on in character motives and reasonings. This is OOC discussion, but the choices made should be IC. (You are, of course, more than welcome to actually have the IC discussions! This is just a place for summarization.) We encourage you, in the spaces provided below, to summarize what your character wants to do and why. Also, remember, characters can change their mind! If an argument someone else makes would resonate with your character, nothing here is set in stone.

On January 16th, another mod post will go up. There, each character journal can cast a vote as to the course of action. The voting will close at 11:59 PM, EST, on January 20th. The one with the most votes will be the successful route. However, this does not mean the others can't be played. In fact, we encourage people to play out what their character would do. Just know, as a player, that only the majority vote will be what succeeds.

Objective: Prevent the Corpse King from reviving Davy Jones and giving him a physical body.
Option A: Do nothing. Continue on with daily business, avoid Noctem entirely.
Option B: The direct approach. Seek out the Corpse King on Noctem and engage him in a fight to the death.
Option C: The indirect approach. Find the four shrines on Noctem and desecrate them before the ritual can be completed.

Optional Objective: Cat has asked for a book to be delivered to her. It is with Hawtrey's supplies.
Option A: Ignore it. The book is easy enough to overlook, or one may not care to find it.
Option B: Deliver the book. Someone (or a group of 'delegates') can take the book with the intention of giving it to Cat.
Option C: Keep the book. Take the book and keep it among a crew or in a person's possession but do not deliver it to Cat.
Option D: Destroy the book. Burn the book before leaving the island.

FAQ

What are the outcomes of the different options?
That's to be found out. We're giving you as much information as your characters have. All the courses of action will have consequences, however.

What if our characters don't know where Noctem is?
The maps (having a bit of magic of their own) will have the location marked. Cat wants this taken care of quickly, after all.
