April 18th-21st
Starting the morning of the 18th you may find bright and colorful painted eggs floating in the water, tucked in the nooks and crannies of your ship, or hidden under a leafy bush somewhere inland.
Opening them will reveal:
Doubloons! Three or four at most. How did doubloons get inside a hard boiled egg? The world may never know.
Candy jewelry! Same as above.
A hard boiled egg! What are the odds?
You may, upon searching or pure luck, stumble on one or two golden eggs. These will either contain a gold dubloon or two; or a very surprised fluffy chick.
ETA: Keep the chicks around and by September they will have matured into these. Eggs laid by these chickens will be normal, however. If, oddly, hard boiled.
