Hello, High Seas! My name is DJ and I am a total newbie to this fair game, bringing an OC with me named Misha Hunt. I have a friending/CR-meme thread over here for those interested.

Misha is, in short, one of those OCs that gets dropped into a canon and ends up as part of the team and gets superpowers and all that. Yes, one of those. Problem being that she really, really does not actually want to be there and until recently had no hope of actually getting back home. She is very genre savvy, but extremely tight-lipped about explaining what she knows of other people who are actually fictional to her. She really could use a crew, as she absolutely won't be ready to start her own and won't be content to sit around without looking for a way back home!

Her app is over here for the curious but most of all, I would super-duper totally appreciate if you could fill out these permissions for me so I know how she would approach a character! This applies for both fandom and OCs.

Hello Everyone,

Mew here, letting you know that I'll be on hiatus for about a week. This will effect Ban Midou and Ciel Phantomhive. For those of Ciel's crew feel free to take the ship wherever you like in my absence. Don't feel like you have to wait for me to come back. Also for anyone that might have been on the fence about whether or not to join his crew, please feel free to add yourself on the crew registry page if you are coming along.

As for Ban there's not much to note. He'll be joining a new crew soon so I look forward to that :3!

I am doing my AC so I'm not going to post this on the hiatus page I hope that works XD.

Unfortunately Ganon isn't really working with the atmosphere of the game and I'm not really able to keep up with the pace of the game. Add in a ball of stress and it seems I'll have to bow out. My apologies to his crewmates and to the excellent Zelda cast that just apped in. I wish I could play with you guys always!

Stone Nest Shard


The Place

The stone nest is a rock out-cropping set in a sem-circle at least 2 leagues (roughly 10 miles) in diameter. The rocks tower well above the tallest ships and are lines with crags and nests of various seabirds. Inside this circle the water looks like a mirrored pond, and it’s almost as if something lies in wait. But that’s only because something does. Welcome to the Kraken Nest.


The Kraken

Closely resembling a squid, the Kraken can reach up to 200 feet from end to end. Fortunately these are babies, soon to start on their next life cycle and so are in the 20-50 foot range of slavering thrashing tentacles. These tentacles are soft and can be cut off or shot but will likely only make the thing mad. The larger ones can snap a smaller ship in half. They will be active when a ship enters through the stones, but their verocity is up to you.


The Shard

For the lucky crew who wins the shard, it will be found between the eyes of the largest kraken, because of course it is. It’s thin, roughly the length of a man’s thumb and can easily be spotted shining red and pulsing on the kraken’s pale mottled skin. How you get it is up to you.


How this will work

All the crews who signed up, please select and post a number between 1-100 in this entry. The mod will choose the winner by 5pm tomorrow or once all the numbers are up, whichever comes first.

As for the rest of it, it’s entirely up to you how you want to play/backtag/handwave it.
