Apearently, whatever is causing this odd event is content on sending you foodstuffs at the moment. Mid-afternoon on the fourteenth, the shards will hum, a little louder this time, and when they die down and the light fades, two creatures can be found smoochin' in your ship's pantry. Don't worry about contamination or cooties, though. These...turtle doves (or dove turtles?) are made primarily of white chocolate. Even their shells are candy, fashioned to look like jewels!

Eating them, however, will make you want to sidle up and cuddle with whomever crosses your path. Good, bad, enemy, ally, even the mast or pillow in a pinch! It doesn't matter. The compulsion to cuddle is strong in you, directly proportional to the amount of turtle you consume.

The cuddling compulsion will last from one hour to twenty-four, depending on how much you've had. Don't want to eat the turtle today? Well they'll keep, mysteriously not even melting away until they are consumed or dumped over the side for being... well for being kind of creepy.
