**Event**

September 21st

It starts off a clear calm day, a fair strong wind from the West fills the sails and keeps the ships merrily along. Around noon, though, those sensitive will notice a drop in air pressure.
12:30: the swells that had been smooth before become choppy and clouds clot on the horizon and the wind abruptly switches to the East.
1:00: the storm hits in howling fury, dark boiling clouds and green tinged lightning flash across the sea. Swells rise to thirty feet in some unfortunate places.
4:00: The storm dies down to a drizzle. Those who know may find themselves much further from their original destination than they should be.
For those docked at islands, secure the ship and head for higher ground. Be careful that your ship doesn’t crash against the rocks. Someone is pretty angry.
Mechanics:
This event will take place on Saturday the 21st. Logs can happen any time from Saturday to Tuesday. While you don’t have to play out the event if you don’t choose to, your ship will be blown off course and out to sea unless you are docked.
If you'd like to spice up the event and have your ship blown in a random direction, please pick a number between 1-8, only one direction per crew, please. Questions are fine but for number decisions please post the name of your crew in the subject line, or the ship name if crew name is inapplicable.
Thanks. :)
