So it looks like things are starting to get rolling! That's great! Just a couple of things coming up to tell you/remind you of:


♦ Reservations for the October round are now open!

♦ A reminder that everyone is to be out at sea by Sunday morning or prepare to be pitchforked by restless natives. While you don't have to play out the launch, just keep that day in mind.

♦ To that end, those crews who have not yet filled out the Crew Registry, please do so! Still looking for crew? We have a meme for that. If you're still unattached by Sunday, let us know and we'll throw up a mod plurk to help you out.

♦ We have two mini events coming up!

• Talk Like a Pirate Day - September 19th
  Just like it says on the tin! Talk like a pirate! Just a silly, semi-official event that we couldn't pass up. It's way too appropriate! This is completely optional, and an in-game explanation will follow closer to the date.


• The Storm - September 21st
  A world event and mandatory (though we won't force you to play it out). We will put up more reminders about this event closer to the time.

Backtagging is fine! Though as this event is a world event which the entire crew is involved, there will likely be a crew log of some sort that you can participate in. If you're unsure, though, talk to your crewmates and work something out. :3

I don't remember if this was answered already, sorry, but do we need to fill out the crew post if a character is setting out all on their own on a sailboat?
